Nova Harvest has now implemented a 95% effective heat reclamation project that captures heat from hatchery waste-water using heat-pump technology, resulting in a 95% reduction of propane use.
This project was made possible through Fisheries and Oceans Canada who provided $33,535 over two years (2017/18-2018/19) via the Fisheries and Aquaculture Clean Technology Adoption Program (FACTAP) and support from the B.C. Ministry of Agriculture.
